NICE TO MEET YOU

Hi, I’m Buddy. An engineer during the day and master craftsman by night! And relentless DIYer for 30 years. The passion started from my father who worked in construction and had a basement shop to fix anything, then I took every shop class there was in high school and college; followed by many after college and apprenticeship to becoming master craftsman.

Buddy is a nickname that stuck with me from year’s ago – I pretty much called everyone Buddy and then “who’s you’re Buddy” came back to me. And Bud-D-Builder from countless hours of my kids watching the cartoon Bob the Builder also coming back to me, Bud the Builder, as I spent so much time in the shop building & fixing things!

I’m the neighborhood guy in the garage everyone stops by to see what the latest project is and ask for advice (or borrow a tool!).

After so many years of figuring things out DIY is second nature – but I also realized just how intimidating it can be. So I’ve set out to provide simple, easy to understand advice on how to use every tool I own in hopes to pass it on to new homeowners beginning the journey to build and fix stuff!
